VERTICAL BLIND BRACKETS
Fixing screws:
Timber – 3/4″ x No. 8 screws
Plaster/Concrete – 1 1/2″ x No.8 screws with rawplug
- Identify type of bracket supplied, i.e. top or face fix
- Determine bracket spacing. (Ideal spacings are shown in the headrail diagram.) Position a bracket 4″ from each end and evenly space remaining brackets.
- Determine headrail position. (please ensure that when the blind is fitted it will not be obstructed by window handles.)
- Mark bracket positions.
- Position brackets & screw fix.
CONSERVATORY FIXING BRACKETS
When fitting vertical blinds in conservatories the blinds have to be fitted to allow the slats to traverse and rotate without catching the window handles. The window handles normally project approximately 1.5 inches from the window frames. To achieve this we can sometimes use face fix brackets but normally extended face fix brackets are required to achieve the necessary clearance.
A top fix bracket is screw fixed into a plastic slider which allows the track to be moved along the extended face fix bracket by hand allowing easy positioning of the blind.
When measuring the drop place the extended bracket in the position required and measure from the top of the bracket to the window ledge or floor.
HEADRAIL
The headrail mechanism is self-lubricating. Occasional spraying with silicone based fluid will maintain easy operation
THE SLATS
Fabrics are specially coated to ensure that the slats will hang straight, repel dust and not fray.
To care for the slats, vacuum occasionally in the same way as you would with curtains and upholstery. Dirty marks may be removed by wiping with a lightly moistened cloth, using a mild detergent/warm water mixture.
